Artist's Comments
I took this picture of a council tower block in Broadwater farm. It's famous for having loads of riots in the 80s and a police man was murdered there. Its like the scummiest council estate in London. But I changed the colours of the picture to make the building look so pretty. Like what the governments attempt to make council estates 'happier' places by splashing the walls in bright colours. I purposely took the photo from the angle that I did. Most people look down on people that live in council estates and poverty in general but the building and people inside it are looking down on us.

We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it. Each day we will feature 5 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article. In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you  the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on.
